If you speak with a chiropractor they will tell you that they know exactly what is wrong with you and that they are best suited to fix it. That may be true for the average person but any time you have received treatment from an orthopedic or neurosurgeon, they should be the one to determine what is safe and helpful because they have the best understanding of what is the best course of continuing treatment based on your condition, which they should be most familiar with.il I had a laminectomy 30 years ago and saw a chiropractor for years before moving to a different part of the state. I started seeing another chiropractor who did nothing but take my money and then another chiropractor who after 6 weeks stopped sending reports to the insurance instead of telling me that he couldn't help my symptoms. I'm at the point now where even my neurosurgeon cringes at the sight of my MRI. Did the years of chiropractic sessions do more harm than good? I have no way of knowing
