@altilla, I'm glad you were able to give that valuable and constructive feedback to the team at Mayo Clinic.

Diet and nutrition guidance are important. Have you asked for a referral to a dietitian to get a personalized dietary plan?

@lisalucier I didn’t. I may in the future. We have been using the app “my fitness pal” for ages. However, that was primarily for calorie counting. Now I pay very close attention to the nutrient levels…particularly sodium and potassium…and the fluid intake. Fluid is the hardest. Supposed to include fluid from food as well but that can get to be TOO much and drive a person away from tracking everything else closely. I go with the 2L limit from the St Mary’s time and try to adjust based on activity. That is an ongoing learning experience. 😉

@lisalucier I did make the appropriate requests with my primary but not with Mayo. I have left messages on my portal to Mayo but no response. I’m in my own mind thinking since the cardiology dept prescribed the Wegovy that perhaps they had enough muscle to prescribe a session or two? regarding nutrition in regard to this new drug. I have been invited to a “tele-health” group but it’s mostly ,,,,,,,, a discussion about psychological and very elementary ideas. Very well meaning but “early”.
