@babs10 I am on Medicare as I'm 76 but I have a Blue Cross Advantage Medicare supplement plan. My drug coverage is through a VA plan since my husband is 100% disabled with the VA and it doesn't cover the expensive bone drugs. Even if I had my prescriptions through my Blue Cross Advantage plan, it wouldn't cover the expensive bone drugs either. But Blue Cross caps my out of pocket medical expenses, including prescriptions, at $5000 a year.

@daisy17 Just a clarification: Medicare Advantage plans are required to cap annual out-of-pocket spending for covered Part A and Part B medical services, but prescription drug costs are handled separately under Part D. Beginning in 2025, Medicare Part D does have a $2,000 annual out-of-pocket cap for covered prescription drugs. Whether a specific osteoporosis medication is covered depends on the plan's formulary and how the drug is classified. Since you're using VA drug coverage, different rules may apply.
