Have you not had any bad reactions to HU in the 12 years. I’ve only been in for a month and my mouth throat and stomach seem to burn. Also more dizzy. Only take every other day but know my doc wants to up to bring platelets down. At about 850k right now.

@susi1950 Well, I haven't experienced the symptom you mentioned, but I have had rosacea. At the time it first appeared, I assumed it was from being out in the sun, but I had also attributed it to "mask rash" during and after the pandemic. Since I had a rosacea flare up just a few days ago, I am now wondering if it is the Hydroxyurea. I used aloe vera gel yesterday and it has relieved the itching and most of the redness. Other than that, I seem to tolerate the HU well.

@susi1950 One thing I neglected to mention: the Hydroxyurea's worst side effect: it destroys some of my red blood cells, so my red cell count is always low and I have anemia as a result.
