Last week, I had a targeted ultrasound and a muscle biopsy.
The targeted ultrasound was for my lower leg. The neurologist found two spots that he determined to be a tibialis anterior muscle hernia. I am now waiting to see an orthopedic surgeon for the hernia.
I had a muscle biopsy on my gastrocnemius. The biopsy results ruled out any muscle disorders, but the main diagnosis was reinnervated skeletal muscle. The surgeon amended the report, noting that he himself was having a hard time understanding this diagnosis, given the years of normal/negative nerve testing that I have had.
