There are many comments about vibration plates for use with osteoporosis in subheadings under the main heading of Osteoporosis. Try the search function. Also, I believe that melioguide.com had an article on this topic.
mangoes,
I've used a vibration plate (Juvent) for many years. It would be impossible to say it works because of exercise, supplements and Forteo.
My impression is that vibration plates improve balance by triggering muscle contraction.
Vibration from exercise increases bone strength by altering the bone according to activity. If you are jumping out of airplanes every week (for example) your bones need to be most flexible at a particular angle of attack. Our bones remodel (break down and rebuild) according to our activities. I suspect vibration from these plates isn't intense enough to rebuild bone. Exercising on a vibrating platform seems as though it might be effective for bone.
There is a broad range of plates, https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11396361/ all pretty expensive. Juvent is one of the earliest and cost $2,000+ 20 years ago.
My unqualified opinion is that you'd earn more bone jumping up and down for 5 minutes. I do both.
