If you’re not having any problems with Xgeva Then continuing it makes sense. It’s only for two years. One of the people I know who is sort of an expert in this says that once that two years are up, you should take Zometa for one time, and it will lock in all the benefits Xgeva Provides.
Zometa has a much lower chance of causing osteonecrosis. You could ask your doctor about using it instead. My oncologist had me use it because of that reason. You could also use Fosamax Which has a much lower chance of problems, It’s a pill you take once a week.
I was on Fosamax For six years and then had Zometa for two years. My DEXA seems good and I’ve had no jaw bone problems.
