Lost my wife of 52 years unexpectedly in early 2025 due to cardiac arrest. Grief is difficult and nobody knows what it is like until they experience it. It all takes time, but things will very slowly improve, just need to give it the time it needs.

@njed, I'm so sorry that your wife died. I know it's hard because my husband died of lung cancer in 2024. That's so nice that you were married for 52 years! Be grateful for that and I'm sure you are! My husband and I were married for 30 wonderful years. One thing that helped me get through the lonely days was to have a routine. Make the bed, do the dishes, vacuum etc. It helps a lot and gets your house clean. You are almost too busy to feel sad all the time.
Another thing that has helped me is to pray. God has been there for me during this whole difficult time. I know my husband is up in Heaven as is your wife. We'll be reunited with them eventually in God's time. It's just hard being left behind. I'll say a prayer for you.
I wish you the best.

@njed thank you for that advice, I am sorry for your loss. It's only been 7 weeks since I lost my husband and it's so hard to get thru each hour of the day.
