Hi! I was diagnosed with Stage 1a ovarian cancer in 2015, recurrence in 2019 stage 4. I have been on Olaparib since 2020. (BRACA1 positive) My onc has recommended that I go off the medicine within the next year, that I could pick the date even, due to the increasing chance of developing the other cancers. My numbers are all good, CA125 is 8. What did you end up deciding to do? Did you stay on at a lower dose? Completely go off? How has your health been since your last post? Hoping to find out if anyone has remained on Olaparib 6 years or longer and how they are doing? Hoping to find out how anyone is doing after discontinuing Olaparib? Did your cancer come back and how long before recurrence?
Praying either way, that you are well!

@ksifton Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect and to our Gynecological Cancers support group. This is all good news for you. Do you plan to stop Olaparib as recommended by your oncologist?
