Quinine does work for RLS…I took it for a few years. Then my doctor told me enough…quinine for that length of time will cause ringing in the ears. He switched me to Clonazepam which worked perfectly. Then in the 2016 DEA scheduled drugs hysteria my different doctor (I moved) refused to prescribe it for me. Not because it was bad for me but because he was afraid that the DEA would revoke his prescription license.
Ever since then I have tried dozens of different medications, none work well, I always feel groggy and I hate the government for doing this to me.
