@plopez38 Hi, I can't tell on these threads who is replying to who... but I wanted to follow up with some updates, in case this helps anyone. I did the original post about HRT intolerance about 6 months ago. I stopped HRT on NYE, after giving it everything I had, weaning doses, changing pharmacies, micronizing my Progesterone, etc. The side effects were disrupting my life and sanity. It resolved "some" but not all symptoms, and I went from doctor to doctor, including my GP, opthalmologist, then ENT (due to vertigo, to assess inner ear issue?), then audiologist (vestibular??) - all doctors/tests were normal. I made upcoming appts to a new Menopause Center and gave in to dreaded/feared appt with Neurologist. NOW - here's the miraculous thing. Also went to my holistic doctor (brilliant and well known). He ran labs and found Im low in salts, vit C and Magesium, no big deal but I added Celtic salts and the others. But... he found I was low in Pregnenalone and DHEA, and gave me these supplements. I started the Pregnenalone at 10mg, with the idea to wait 2-3 weeks, before starting the next. Well I need to share with all, by day 3 I was LITERALLY back to my old self, all symptoms gone. And I mean ALL symptoms gone. Its mystifying. Sometimes I don't believe it, and I doubt it, and go through "its just power of suggestion" but it just isnt plausible that my body feels NORMAL - no vertigo, no brain fog (was horrible and scary), no vision issues (was hard to drive), no EXTREME 4pm fatigue, no anxiety/fight or flight jitters that would hit me randomly at any given time. I wake up, feel clear headed, rested, energetic, I work all day and then go landscape, exercise, work with horses, and on and on. Again, mystifying. I have never read any posts here or on the Facebook menopause groups Im in, that mention those supplements. But my holistic Dr was spot on in my case, and I just wanted to bring hope to anyone to perhaps check this out. I think HRT would ordinarily be prescribed in this case, but if someone cant tolerate it... there might be other options!! Best of luck to all!!!
