I had a ruptured brain aneurysm 4 years ago, it was coiled during emergency surgery. I also have an internal carotid artery dissection (on the opposite side). I take low dose aspirin for the dissection. I have been told taking NSAIDS is not a safe option for me other than one or two, every once in while. I have read that red light therapy increases blood flow and lowers inflammation and I am wondering if there is a risk for me to use it on my face/scalp. Unfortunately I am not confident with the answer I received from my neurologist which was "no risk that I have heard of". I was hoping they would have more information or active research.

@k8e - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I am glad you were able to get the ruptured aneurysm coiling done in emergency surgery. That is already a lot, not to mention you also said you have an internal carotid artery dissection (on the opposite side).
