@alrghty1 I notice you recently joined Mayo Clinic Connect, so welcome! I am glad to see you post a comment to get thoughts from other members about your shortness of breath and red spots on your skin.
I am not medically trained but do have thoughts. The combination of what you mention is familiar to me. I have been taking amlodipine and also started Albuterol for shortness of breath when my primary doc told me I had asthma. I don’t necessarily remember having any spots on my skin but I have had tiny pinhead type sores that would appear, sometimes stay as long as a couple days then disappear. Now that I read your comment I realize I have not seen any of these dots since discontinuing the amlodipine a couple months ago.
I switched doctors and my new doctor wanted to make sure asthma really was the reason for my shortness of breath. I am learning that this may be a point where further testing isn’t done and patients really may benefit from getting to the root cause of their shortness of breath.
Did you start all these medications around the same time? Have you had any pulmonary testing, and if so what did it indicate?
