Who would you prefer to get your advice/information and/or treatment from; a neurosurgeon or an orthopedic surgeon?

@bajjerfan Either one
I'd listen to your neurosurgeon's advice, the last place you'd want to question a specialist's recommendation is around your spinal cord.

Good advice-guess I am just wishing for the least invasive solution.
@crazy123 I've been through 2 spinal fusion procedures without any complications, at the C5-C6 level, and 18 months later at the C7-T1 level. While it's not exactly non-invasive it has become a routine procedure according to both of my neurosurgeons. If it'll alleviate your problems I'd go through with it.

1 Reaction@bajjerfan If you have good insurance get an opinion from both specialists neuro and ortho and weigh your options after hearing both sides.
I do need a second opinion and would like to get that at Mayo as I am in Iowa and familiar with Mayo through family.

I have Medicare, but I'm not facing the choice. I was just sorta asking in a rhetorical way.
