Just found out I have a 1.5 cm gallstone

Posted by linda82 @linda82, Jun 4 2:45pm

I have been having some issues with gas and bloating after I eat that has become frequent. I have had some discomfort in that area but only once in the last year where I had pain and did not think to much of it.
My family Dr. will be setting me up with a surgeon.
Since I had surgery in 2024 for diverticulitis, I have been doing great.
Now, something new to go through.
Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.

@linda82 - for what it's worth, I've had zero issues once I healed up in 2 weeks or so after my gallbladder attack and surgery.

@lisalucier Thanks Lisa, Was your surgery open or laparoscopy? Did you have to change anything?

I am now looking at all the foods I have been eating. This is one item I have every day for fat and fiber. Now I need to eliminate. Argh.

Avocados: Avocados are packed with healthy fats and fiber, but they can also be tough on the gallbladder. Their fat content can make the gallbladder contract too much, which can worsen symptoms for those with gallbladder disease.
