Hip osteoarthritis pain deep in butt cheek

Dumb question, but is the top of the pelvic bone say maybe 4 inches from the spine either medically or anatomically considered to be a part of the hip on that side? I'll hang up and listen.

@bajjerfan Not a dumb question if one has not had occasion to study anatomy. The hip joint is the point at which the femoral head inserts into the acetabulum (a socket in the pelvic bone.) So technically, the pelvic is part of the hip.
