I have small fiber neuropathy. After a great toe replacement last year I slowly had numbness progress over that foot and now the other. After taking supplements of vitamin Bs, alpha lipoic acid and more I was becoming numb free but during the pandemic I went on line and did some feet exercises which including something akin to stomping for three days. Now numbness returned. I am interested in exercises for neuropathy, shoes, sandals, socks and other relevant things people have found helpfu.

@rdelfin Hi. I have severe pain in my feet due to peripheral neuropathy. I have not found foot exercises to help pain, but it does help build more normal foot muscles. Be careful not over doing it with exercise. I do not have numbness at all, and in all my readings here, I have never read of one person who found anything for numbness. I do recommend Spenco shoes, which have Dr. made, custom orthotics inside. They are one of the few shoes I can wear, but everyone is so different with shoes, that I have no idea if they would help. If you go to amazon.com, they sell spenco shoes. So does qvc.com Sometimes, amazon sells them very cheaply. Also, Wolky shoes, very expensive, but well worth it. I buy them on ebay, and can get good deals there. They are an old time, really well made shoe. Hope this helps, Lori Renee

I have small fiber peripheral neuropathy with my symptoms being numbness mostly in my feet. I take supplements which also contains B vitamins, R-ALA, Omega-3 oils and a few more. I have found slip-on shoes to work the best for me and normally get ones with a wide fit from Skethers.

Have you found any type of shoe that works or doesn't work for you?

Hi, @rdelfin, My neuropathy is still relegated to just numbness and tingling in my feet and legs. I was not prescribed any medication for my p..n. but know there are others in this group with far more experience and more complications who can offer suggestions that have proved helpful for the good questions you pose. I did ask my neurologist if water therapy might help stimulate the atrophied nerves but he told me that it wouldn't.
