@mmqc Hello and welcome to the head and neck group.
Having suffered from osteoradionecrosis (ORN) and specifically the mandible, then getting a mandiblectomy, any alternative to that carnival ride would be welcome.
It appears through studies that this PENTO process is getting more defined to something that works well. However, one must be concerned about drug side effects as well, particularly the steroid and antibiotic protocols involved.
My personal take away is these various PENTO treatments all include large daily doses of vitamin E, an easily obtained over the counter supplement.
Because ORN affects about two percent of all head and neck cancer patients, and knowing now what I didn’t know then, I likely would have: A) found a head and neck experienced oncologist, B) taken Vitamin E, C) used nasal oxygen daily. These three items are easily done. To be clear, this is my experience opinion and not a medical opinion.

@hrhwilliam do you think nasal oxygen would help your gums heal?
