@birgitr I have heard a lot of horror stories regarding the BMB but I opted for the sedation and I can tell you I literally don’t remember a thing. It was awesome! There was some soreness at the extraction site for a few days but not bad and I was able to work out the next day. It is important to have a baseline.

@birgitr You are absolutely right. I just wish I had been on this path earlier.
Besremi is not available in Australia so it's Pegasys. She also alluded to other upcoming treatments that would be available in the not too distant future, so that is very promising.
I had my blood tests today - 9 vials to test for a number of things. My BMB is booked for 10th June. I'll let you know how it goes!
Thanks for your wishes. We had an island holiday booked for July but sadly, had to cancel. I guess in hindsight, starting HU and staying out of the sun on an island would have been a bit of a challenge!
It's great to hear your side affects have been so minimal, not so great about your blood numbers. Wishing you good luck tomorrow and hoping that your issue can be managed successfully.
