Did you experience a partial or full tear? How long have you been taking it?

I did Evenity for 11 months ending February 2023. Never had an ache or pain prior. Suffered from debilitating
Muscles aches, joint pain, feeling “brittle” after about 6-7 mos of Evenity. Took a two month break and started to feel better then started Fosomax and all discomfort came back. Switched to monthly Actonel and it wasn’t as bad so have been on that since so as not to lose gains and bone density if holding. However, I have had a full thickness tear in one shoulder repaired with surgery, other shoulder has partial tear now and I have intrasubstance tears in bicep as well. Both biceps are uncomfortable and repaired shoulder sometimes feel achy and don’t have mri of that bicep so don’t know. Knees can be tender as well which I never had. I do shoulder strengthening, overall strengthening regularly, walk and bike and do all the recommended osteoporosis supplements but feels like something changed in my body since these meds. Idk. Don’t know if that helps you but sometimes my tendons and muscles feel “brittle” is the only way I can describe it.

Thank you for your information.
My achilles tendons are hurting two weeks into Evenity.

I randomly developed acute Achilles tendinitis after 3-4 months of starting Evinity.
I did not experience an injury to cause this or do any over training.

Thank you for bringing up this side effect from Evenity.
I developed tendon issues and inflammation in the ankles after my 10 evenity shot. I knew joint issues flared with evenity but didnt realize it was also tendon issues. For me it was the posterior tibial tendon as well as those associated with the ankle. Very painful and limiting walking ability.
I have been off evenity for 4 months and this is gradually resolving.
Evenity did not work for me - my BTM did not respond as expected and I fractured my tibia just walking in my 11th month. . Yet it works for some poeple. We are all very different. Prayers to you all to find you way.

February 2026 I had my first shots of Evenity, one week later I started having sharp pain in my Achilles tendons, then I stay off them and gets a little better, and then when I try and move or work out more, pain comes back, it's been months.
