Anyone been to Mayo Clinic for help with the after effects of Whipple?

I had all the same kinks as your husband after Whipple and my surgeon said no to Creon, too. However, her PA prescribed it, saying it was worth a try. My gastroenterologist also said we could give it a try, but did not seem eager to prescribe it. I haven’t gotten a clear answer about taking Creon, so may depend on how each person reacts to Whipple. I don’t know if there is a way to check which digestive enzymes are deficient after Whipple.

@sara53 Hubby had Whipple April 13. Losing so much weight yet eats well. No issues with foods. Just has few meals a day. Stays away from to much grease is all. We thought Creon was for gastro issues. Diarrhea gas bloating ECT. He's never had any of these symptoms. He's experiencing Malabsorption. So Oncologist says will help him get more nutrients from his meals. That now his food goes through his body to fast. Says can help with weight gain. Not sure I'm confident about this🤔Any one have experience or input would benefit us. Take Care
