They put me on a low dose of Lyrica that made me so tired even at the lowest dose that I could not walk to my car I was so tired - they asked if I would try its cousin gabapentin - no way - I heard a nurse practitioner say to my husband it will make your wife crazy - there has to be another way and also trying acupuncture - had 7 treatments - she said I need 5 more - originally 10 but know maybe once every 2 weeks later on - it is $50 for each treatment so soon maybe I can spread it out - it wont hurt you and it's not bad for you what the heck. Try it - you may like it. When you leave you feel so relaxed and nothing can bother you.

@gnocchi
My acupuncturist said she prescribes alpha lipoic acid for her diabetics and it really helps but my symptoms were the same - hello - that wasn't nice I had to read about it here in this forum to find out about it and when I went to the nature store the owner said he takes it and it works and he only had one bottle left - 600 mg taken on an empty stomach so it can do its magic. Try it - it can't hurt you.

@gnocchi I've been on gabapentin for years for nerve issues and now increased for neuropathy from chemo and I've never had any issues.
