Hi,

Reading your story was so comforting in a way, for i do not feel alone, im 48 tears old soon to be 49. Ive been skipping periods for the last almost 3 years, i though it was due to the stress of my mother battle with cancer. After she passed. Things just took a turn, I went fro occasionally spotting to non stop bleeding (longest I have experience was almost 14 days. )

I decided to ditch my regular ob and made an appointment to see an oncologist obgyn. Because I was getting no where with my regular gyn. Giving my dr. All the detail of my family, she decided to do an mri. And another endometrial biopsy, had one last year (negative 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿) i am obese as well weight in 232lb for my 5'6 hight. I was given metformin, but I refused to take it due to study of what it does to other things.

Needless to, Thank you for your story. It has helped me tremendously

@lionises Hello, I’m glad my story was of help to you!! I have to actually read this whole thread again from the beginning to recall my timeline. It is exactly one year later from my last negative hysteroscopy and I am having the same symptoms!! Very fair brown and pink on the toilet paper, then nothing. On and off like that for a few days. Then it seems a bit more each time. I was not able to get an appointment with my gyno, but have one with their Nurse Practitioner on July 16th, the soonest they have. I don’t know if I should try for sooner, that is 3 weeks away, but it would be a different location. I guess I’ll see how I feel each day.

I have lost some weight since last year, but definitely not enough and still obese. So I’m guessing this is always going to happen. I tried Ozempic but had a bad reaction with the 4th shot and not comfortable trying another type. My stomach is sensitive with IBS issues. But I’m sure the doctors are going to push for that again, as they have with me. I really have to try harder to lose weight on my own. It’s just so hard because I have a million things going on the last few years.

I’m curious as to what you’ve heard about Metformin that is making you not want to take it? I suspected that it could have been the cause of my bleeding the last time, but the doctor claimed it didn’t have much real evidence. But it started not long after I was taking it. And now, I just started taking the second dosage and all of a sudden, I’m having the bleeding again?! I have to go back to all my history and write down exactly when I started taking it and when the spotting started, and so the same this time to see if I can recognize a pattern.

I hope you continue to heal up and stay well! Sorry for the long update!
