@pamglutemedius ask away but I might reply more fully tomorrow when I have my post op folder handy. It was OP at a cute little hospital in North jersey. There’s a nice Hilton nearby for the night before. I had a thorough anesthesiologist- not a nurse anesthetist. Yes I had PRP. The procedure was not fully covered but the small amount was nothing close to a year of useless care from a local ortho! PRP is never covered to my knowledge. Recovery is brutal- 2crutches 20# flat foot weight bearing for 6 weeks. Brace from bottom of bra to hip.

I am terrified they will want to do surgery in Hosp. & try to send me home same day or next day - I have no one to help me - and will need to have them keep me so ins will cover a skilled or rehab facility.. so I am wondering what your experience was
Also what is PRP?
Yes- I have also spent years of useless care & PT from multiple other ortho surgeons who misdiagnosed my multiple hip injuries/conditions.
Thank you🙏

@hlthcr2000 yes, I'm very interested in how much pain was there. How long did you have to wear the brace? How did you shower in the brace? What kind of p t did you do?What were your limitations at home?I do live by myself. But I can get some care help. I don't have tons of pain, but I have the serious limp, and it's making my already bad back worse. I am a ballroom dancer and i can't damce because of the limp and the balance issues It causes
