Pink Salt “Cure?”
I was diagnosed with PN 7 years ago. I’ve spent a LOT of money on different gadgets, some of which made my symptoms WORSE and, as you can guess, out of all these miracle cures, nothing ever helped. I’ve been taking massive doses of Gabapentin with very little relief.
Recently, I read about using 1/8th tsp Himalayan Pink Salt in water for PN. Has anyone tried this?

It didn't help me either but helps my brother tremendously.

2 ReactionsI want to hear if anyone has found a treatment for neuropathy. The pink salt is a scam!
@alicebrown neither Dr. Oz or Dr. Phil are actually selling or endorsing the pink salt cure. These are AI fakes. We can't trust any of these ads but must verify them ourselves

3 ReactionsI just read an article on specialty salts in consumerlab.com. The amount of minerals in them is so low as to not really have any effect. Sorry. I used some pink salt in cooking for a while and thought it produced a slightly more complex flavor, but might have imagined it.

1 Reaction@rlyany it’s unbelievable how many scams for neuropathy are out there. Every day I’m bombarded by Facebook videos on cures for neuropathy due to different causes such as microplastics, slush covering the nerves and therefore causing nerve issues, then they promote pills or the latest I saw was some kind of digital video of a method of stimulating your ear to release the chemical slush that’s covering the nerves. While some of these causes sound possible but once it gets to their promotion and how the video will be taken down soon by the pharmaceutical giants, and to hurry up and order or subscribe now, then they’ve lost me. It would be great if one of these really work but I’m very skeptical but also very anxious of finding something that works.

1 ReactionPink salt is not an evidence-backed treatment or cure for neuropathy. While electrolytes like sodium and minerals are crucial for nerve cell signaling, consuming pink Himalayan salt water will not reverse nerve damage. The "pink salt trick” is a scam!

@dclark8
how glad i am that you saved me the dissapointment and the money from the OzandPhil show. I watched the whole spiel and almost fell for it. Thank you. Itoo have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and if it is His plan for me to get better then I am waiting for His answer while praying and pleading. Luckily, I too, do not have any pain, however I have no balance and fall frequently with terrible consequences. I have just started a drastic change in my diet, and started on a couple vitamins, careful exercises especially getting up and down from a lot of kneeling
I am ever so thankful for your message. I just finished watching the Oz and Phil fiasco and was ready to fall for it. Thank goodness my credit card didn't work. You saved me from another disapointment and a lot of money. Thank you. I too have no pain but I have no balance and frequently fall with terrible consequences so my activities are very restricted. However, I too, have a personal relationship with my Savior and I know He has a plan for me. So I am changing my diet, praying a lot and exercising (by getting up and down from kneeling) and trying to stay positive for His answer. Thank you again for your message .
My dentist said it helps with his neuropathy. He claims that the pink salt might help break up microplastics which he believes may have something to do with peripheral nerve damage. He uses it every day. I tried it only once and it had no effect on my nerve pain. At a minimum, it cannot be that harmful and it does not cost that much. Perhaps it has some kind of placebo effect. Taking gabapentin and other oral meds may be more detrimental in the long run.
