I take 50mg of metropole for atrial flutter. My heart rate slows by an average of 20 beats. I am more tired and need naps after workouts. My workouts are slower and my endurance is 25% less

@terrisanyone Welcome to Connect! I see that this is your first posting! I, too, need a rest after a visit to the gym or a walk. I find relaxing with reading, online games, reading emails for about 30 minutes helps, sometimes I doze a bit. Do ask your doctor if this fatigue is in line with expected outcomes for your unique (we all are unique) situation. There has been plenty of discussion on Metoprolol's side effects, you may read them all! In your browser, type in "mayo clinic connect metoprolol side effects." Also, here is a link that explains beta blockers in general. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/high-blood-pressure/in-depth/beta-blockers/art-20044522 We like to suggest that people learn as much as possible about their conditions, it helps us to generate questions and discussions with our doctors. Have you been diagnosed with HCM along with atrial flutter?
