In the related discussion, fellow members talk about experiencing joint pain several months to 2 years after transplant. For some it was related to tapering off prednisone. Sometimes it can be related to side effect of immunosuppressive medications,

You mention that you are 4 years post transplant. Has the joint pain increased during this time?Have you explored possible causes to increasing joint point with your doctor to rule out conditions like arthritis, Lyme disease, polymyalgia rheumatica, etc.?

@colleenyoung
I am actually 5 years post transplant now, and I have had 2 shoulder surgeries before my transplant. Sever arthritis in that shoulder. But, increased pain in the other shoulder, hip pain, back pain, and neck, that comes with a vengeance then goes away after a few weeks. I have discussed with my Dr. however no tests have been run, I am 44 years old, so I feel as if it's early for all this to be coming about. Thank you for your advice and I will check out the other forum.
