Your experience with Orgovyx
Good evening, Recently diagnosed with localized stage 1 gleason 8 prostate cancer. My treatment plan is ADT, SBRT, then HDR. Started Orgovyx on May 15, 2026. So far just a slight headache. I am a 67 year old active person. Pickleball 2-3 times per week, weight training 2-3 per week, get in my 10-14k steps per day, e-bike 30 miles per week, and yoga once a week. Now focusing on 100-120g of protein per day. Hoping this level of activity will mitigate some of the side effects. Would like feedback with those that have been on Orgovyx. Has increase activity maintained or increased muscle mass, and energy level? Any dietary/meal planning suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I underwent 5 weeks IMRT + 6 months Orgovyx ADT + one HDR "boost" procedure. I did notice the following side effects to the ADT and radiation program:
- slight weight gain/belly fat beginning
- occasional emotional moments
- blood sugar and triglycerides increased
- shin bone mystery pain (early on - only lasted a couple of days)
- bouts of fatigue
I never had hot flashes. Exercise and lots of hydration seemed to help me.
Good luck

2 ReactionsOrgovyx taken 7 months and testosterone suppressed 8 months.
-- No unexpected short-term side effects: hot flashes, night sweats, etc.
-- As advertised ED and lower libido while on Orgovyx
-- Bone loss of 3.8% overall, 9% on pelvis (RT) despite high impact exercise & calcium citrate w/D; recovered to -1.5% and -5%. Had pre & post DeXA scans, no symptoms from bone loss. Positive T-Scores pre-treatment; all decreased, pelvis went negative. Still taking the calcium citrate.
-- Testes shrinkage > 40% and testosterone loss from base > 30%. Was above the median, now below but still above minimum. May recover more but doubt it will get back to pre-ADT levels.

Thanks so much for all details listed !
How long it took for your bone to somewhat rebuild itself ? How much calcium do you use daily and what brand, if you do not mind me asking ?
Thanks in advance for any additional info . 🌺
At age 79, psa jumped from 5 to 7 to 17 over the course of a year. Gleason 9, no mets but two small lesions in adjacent lymph nodes. I started Orgovyx in October 2025, SBRT in November and by March 2026 psa was undetectable. My RO agreed to my suggestion that I stop the ADT and revisit with a psa/T test in 6 months. So far, the usual side effects have nearly disappeared except for a persistent belly pouch which apparently takes some work.
