Chronic back pain, right hip, and neck pain.

I have progressive neck and back pain with severe balance problems, weakness, numbness, and tingling in my arms and legs. I now require a cane to walk safely and frequently drop objects because of hand weakness and coordination problems. My MRIs show cervical and lumbar spine degeneration, disc bulges, foraminal stenosis, and abnormal cervical spinal cord signal changes. I continue to experience worsening mobility and neurologic symptoms while undergoing evaluation by specialists, including physiatry and neurology, to determine the cause and best treatment options. I’ve been dealing with this for years and now it has gotten almost unbearable!!! If anyone has been dealing with any of this please reach out to me, because I’m completely lost.

I am sorry for your pain and for being in a place right now where you feel "completely lost." I would like you to know that I hear you; especially how long you have been dealing with this. I do not have practical suggestions because I am an "old" 68 after half a lifetime of chronic disabling illness. I see my friends and elders struggling with these very same body issues even after long careers and busy lives.
Its good that you found these support groups. You will probably find people will reply to you with very specific suggestions.

I’m very sorry to hear about your situation. I’m also pretty much in the same situation. I have chronic neck and shoulder pain for years and I’ve had all kinds of procedures done with no relief. In fact as time goes by it’s getting worse. I’ve had nerve oblations and various other procedures, including chiropractic and massaging and physical therapy and aquatic therapy and the list goes on and on. I too am open to anything anybody has to offer that they might have had success with that. I have not tried yet. I am here to be a part of support for you and I’m happy to know that there are people here that are here for me as well.
