So on 8/25/25 I almost died in my home from my first kidney stone due to my organs shutting down . I thought it was diverticulitis and I live alone so I was roughing it out little did I know. Anyway rushed by ambulance to a hospital 45 miles away then to a different hospital 100miles from my house. Emergency surgery and a stent was put in . I’ve been trying to get this life ruining plastic tube out of me since they put it in under the impression that the stone was passed through the stent but being extorted for more money. Hundreds of calls , ruined every aspect of my life closed my shop the lady of my life gone etc etc . I found out two weeks ago after thinking I was getting this nightmare out of me that they didn’t even touch the stone and I need another surgery . This stent has been in 9 months and destroyed my life completely and now it’s going to be in longer because the dr is a contractor for the hospital I went to and demanding more money or they won’t remove it. I was injured 5 years ago and just got disability awarded in Jan of 26 and can’t function due to the pain and fatigue. How is this even allowed and why would you leave something inside someone knowing it’s destroying their life? No other drs will touch it . Stents should not stay longer then 90days and we’re at 9 months . What can I do about it? They have my insurance and I’ve called and left messages the last two weeks and no call back . This is insanity . Oh and I had a bout of diverticulitis in 2012 and the same hospital neglected to tell me about a pea size growth in my right kidney which I lost to cancer in 2019 when it was baseball size so I only have one kidney which caused all this in the first place . What can I do they are refusing to help me

Good heavens! I think I'd call '60 Minutes' if you haven't gone to Mayo and don't plan to. You need a Center of Excellence.
