Others may have had a very different experience, but I believe I given a pair of hospital slippers, but still I don't recall having to do much in the way of walking; instead, as with most all hospital dischargees, I was rolled in a wheelchair to the open door of my partner's automobile. That said, I honestly don't remember the foot on my TKR-operated leg having swollen. I may be wrong, but these are my best recollections.
