I consider Forteo the best of all medications for osteoporosis. I'm on extended use and have experienced no side effects.
Some experience dizziness because there is a rapid drop in blood pressure after injection. A little salt, and/or a little caffeine can attenuate that drop because both constrict blood vessels. It's best to be hydrated when taking the injection.
I prefer injecting in my thigh. That area has less blood circulation than the area in the abdomen and slows absorption without diminishing it. I also take vitamin K2 two hours before injection, because Forteo increases the calcium in the bloodstream and K2 increases reabsorption in the bone.
