Votre expérience avec Forteo

L'injection de Forteo me paraît la seule qui puisse me convenir. Des personnes pourraient-elles indiquer leur expérience avec Forteo? Merci à l'avance de vos réponses.

I consider Forteo the best of all medications for osteoporosis. I'm on extended use and have experienced no side effects.
Some experience dizziness because there is a rapid drop in blood pressure after injection. A little salt, and/or a little caffeine can attenuate that drop because both constrict blood vessels. It's best to be hydrated when taking the injection.
I prefer injecting in my thigh. That area has less blood circulation than the area in the abdomen and slows absorption without diminishing it. I also take vitamin K2 two hours before injection, because Forteo increases the calcium in the bloodstream and K2 increases reabsorption in the bone.
I hope you have a good experience, but stay with us and let us know what your experience is.

I've been on a generic version (Teva-teriparatide) for two months now. I was terrified to start taking it, but aside from dizziness, it's been really non-eventful.

I was on Forteo for 2 years and thought it worked really well. I'm glad I had Forteo and not one of the other brands/types.
I put the injections in the outer edges of my stomach area. I alternated sides as well as ranging up and down vertically on each side. I marked things out with a surgical pen (they're cheap on Amazon) so I would wait 3 4 weeks before injecting in the same area,

@jojogigibobi

I have been taking Forteo for just about one month with little to no side effects. I had some dizziness the first few days but that has subsided. I wish you the best! I was very worried about taking this or any of the meds, but am happy I started.

@lisitabelle Merci de votre commentaire. J'ai appris tout juste hier que ce médicament n'est pas couvert par mon assurance privée au Canada. Je suis très déçue.
