For 18 months I have been experiencing sharp pain in the vulva area. Nerve blocks, pelvic pt, regular pt, acupuncture… all of it are failing. The fire sensation in that area has moved to my legs and lower arms. It just seems hopeless. All of the imaging has come back negative. Pain medicines no longer work. Waiting times for specialists are six to nine months. Not much hope is given.

Hello @maka1104,

I'm really sorry to hear about your pain. What an interference with your daily activities. I'm wondering if you could share a little more about the pain. For example, is it all day? Are there times of the day when the pain is lessened? Are there any activities that make it worse or make it better? Is there any family history of this health issue?

Neurological problems can be very difficult to diagnose and treat. So, I would encourage you to persist and keep looking for answers. Persistence is the key to finding answers for hard-to-diagnose problems.

Finally, have you been to a research-oriented health care system for an evaluation? I'm thinking of a medical university health center or a hospital system like Mayo Clinic (appointment information for Minnesota, Arizona, and Florida can be found using this link: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63).
