@msmarymac Mohs surgery. Mohs surgery is a precise, layer-by-layer technique used to remove common skin cancers (like basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas). The surgeon removes the visible tumor and examines the tissue under a microscope in real time. This process is repeated until all cancer cells are gone, maximizing the removal of cancer while sparing the maximum amount of healthy tissue.
I just had it done on my nose. Took about 4 hours. Some people actually are at doc's for 9 hours due to constant positive results in the removed tissue. UGH.
