Does anyone have Ocular neuropathic pain

@edie2716 I did an appeal and they said no because I don’t have an NK diagnosis. From my understanding there is not a lot of treatment options for ocular neuropathic pain so the best hope is to try tx from other diagnoses like migraine, NK, etc. but that makes it hard from an insurance perspective.

Thanks for letting me know about Tryptyr. I haven’t heard of that one. I’ll have to ask my optometrist about that. Did you ever try Tyrvaya? Also supposed to help tear production, but it didn’t seem to work for me.

@ashleyharris728 hopefully you can try Oxervate later once it becomes more available and possibly it will go generic. It took a while to get it and the initial price is obscene. A lot depends on your insurance coverage. Tryptyr is an eye drop you use twice daily. It Is for occular nerve pain that my Dr let me know about. It is new and does help more than the rest. I did try Tyrvaya but it was as effective as the rest.
