Because of a need to take other meds (for post herpetic neuralgia…after shingles)whose side effects seem to be diminished by eating, and the directive for taking Levothyroxine being “waiting 30 minutes before eating”…I have been told it would be fine to take this drug (for hypothyroidism) before bedtime. I’m curious if anyone else follows this regimen. Thanks!

For me, I have to take it in the morning. It works best for me that way. Our cat wakes us up like clockwork at 5:00 am, so I pop the pill, and go back to sleep for a couple of hours after she is fed. I also take omprazole and I have to make sure I take it at least 3 hours from the levothyroxine, or it may block absorbtion. I think the best thing to do is to ask the doctor, but this is what has helped me.
