I'm 58. I am a diabetic since 2017 (A1C 8.7 - 10.7)and major peripheral neuropathy which initially started with my feet (tingling, numb, painful nerve discomfort, nerve strikes, etc..). Until this day(2026) with Diabetes and Peripheral Neuropathy, they eventually spread throughout my body from feet, calves, thighs, waist and hands(fingers) which also included all the awful symptoms.....regardless if you follow doctors orders, meds, insulin, meals, etc.. NO CURE!

After all the doctors, neurologist, specialist, emergency rooms, hospitals, prescribed medications such as (Pregabapentin/gabapentin, Juniva, Metformin, Duloxetine, insulin, etc.. and also purchased massagers, creams, medical devices, and stuff on Amazon to help with neuropathy at no avail....

As of today, I totally regret to spend thousands and thousands of dollars (Out of Pocket and/or Insurance) for diabetes, neuropathy, anxiety, insomnia, etc.

Sadly, serious mental and health pain complications and conditions were experienced as "NO CURE" after all ! The final solution mentioned by one doctor was to consider to amputate feet, and legs, and hands. I gave it some thought but ultimately refused all of it.

After 8 years with such conditions, you DO NOT want the neuropathy (PN-nerve damage) to grow, spread and affect your entire feet, calves, thighs, waist and hands as it is an extremely uneasy, frustrating state of mind, major anxiety, stress, insomnia, weak muscles, bad nerves with daily activities, etc..

And many years of experience, I found NO devices, creams, massagers, meds, specialist, doctors, etc. for PN and diabetes which comes with many bad symthoms. I simply have molded and learned to ignore the awful symptoms as it has been a part of my life for many years. It is an extremely miserable way to live into the golden years...

As I feel discomfort and eventually accepted "NO CURES" regardless of managed diabetes or not, I purchased a 2 year dog (German Shepherd) to help encourage, smile, somewhat ignore nerve pain, and walk at least 4 times a week which helps some body movements, muscles, and little help with bad nerves regardless of the pain. He is amazing! I regret not buying/adoption dog many years ago...as i still want to live a bit longer as I age...

My advice is to eat healthy, walk, routine scheduled "exercise' plan and possibly adopt a dog for major encouragement, motivation, smiles, and most definitely "Save your Money"…! The end is near .....

My prayers are with all of you …

Painful Body Nerves with No Cures!

@michhino I'm sorry to hear the struggle. I developed neuropathy on my feet from exercising too much. 1 went to doctor's but didn't take drugs. I had incredible amount of pain walking and kept getting worse over 10 months. I also spent much money trying different treatments. In the end l settle for 3 devices l tried in a neuropathy clinic and self treated at home. The improvement is very small and gradual, it took me 12 months of consistent use to be able to walk around for an hour now with discomfort but a lot less pain. I used to have so much pain just walking to the bathroom or brushing my teeth. I plan on keep doing my treatments for another 2 years. Hope l can go back to sports the way l used to. Right now l can play a bit once or twice a week. I use a PEMF, red light, and a shockwave machine. I don't have any health issues maybe that's why l am seeing improvement with proper treatment. I wish you the best. Spending all that money is exhausting. Then when it doesn't work it's crushing. It's not possible to describe the neuropathic pain to those who never experienced it. I feel you. I'm glad you got a dog.

You are so right, pets help us!

@michhino I have neuropathy in my feet and walk 4 miles every morning but can only do so with good quality shoes . My old pair were wearing down and I didn't realize it until my pain started getting bad, pain up my legs , shins, hips and back to where I could barely move . I replaced my shoes (hokas ) with stability and shock absorption and the results were amazing, I had very little pain this morning and certain it will continue to improve, this was just day one . Footwear is so important with neuropathy. I also have fibromyalgia on top of it so definitely need supportive shoes .
