@susanris surprisingly I haven’t seen any drs since I had my original ct scan in April. When I ask questions I’m told to just wait till my appointment. I emailed my one dr about a call I missed from them. They told me it’s not there concern my aorta is. But where my aorta is torn at directly affects my left kidney. So I figured it would have went hand and hand with what’s going on. But they are blowing me off as well. Which is shocking since my vascular surgeon is at the university of Michigan. Seems like finding a good doctor is really hard. Or finding one that cares more about the patient than the money.

@abbigail89 You need a physician team! Are you within driving distance of Mayo? They are interdisciplinary team oriented and refer to each other for patient benefit.
Did you get your aorta tear repaired? I hope so!
Do you have a ppo insurance that allows you to self refer or do you have to go through your primary for their referral.? If a PPO, go to Healthgrades.com and find a doctor that specializes in kidneys, etc. then, look at their ratings a patient reviews. That will help you find a doctor. If you have to go through your PCP ( primary) be the squeaky wheel that gets greased!
