Please note that I’m not a doctor, but I found your post quite puzzling and had a couple of questions that might be worth exploring:

Have you been tested for the Epstein–Barr virus (EBV)?

Since you mentioned a family history of autoimmune diseases, you might also consider reading about Melkersson–Rosenthal syndrome:

If you think there could be any relevance, it may be worth bringing this up at your next specialist appointment.

Thank you for your inquiry. I might have been tested for EBV but I don't recall. If I was it came up negative because otherwise I would remember. Thank you for telling me about MR syndrome. Looking at it briefly that does not sound like me or my situation. My brother (only sibling) died from complications from Juvenile Diabetes. My father died from severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. My mother may have had Chron's disease late in life (undiagnosed).
