Hi,
Yes they put contrast and another type before surgery. It helps to find any cancer in lymph nodes.
My lymph nodes were clear.
They should give you a type of nerve block before you leave surgery, for pain. I didnot have much pain.
I wish you a speedy recovery and a good lymph node report.

@dolphina3 ouch i hated the biopsy so how much did the contrast needle hurt
