I got SDHL on my left ear and did steroids, oraly and injection, and the hyperbaric oxygen treatment, and nothing helped. Tried regular hearing aid but it didn't work, currently waiting for a cros type of hearing iads, where the sounds will be send to my good ear. If this doesn't work well then my only option will be an implant, but not sure if i want to go there. Also, contemplating the idea of filing a claim to my insurance for not testing my hearing the first day i went to urgent care, and it took them 3 weeks to figure out i had sshl, i think if i would have go on steroids right away my hearing loss wouldn't be so severe. I am pretty healthy 50 years old. Did anyone try to file.a claim? Any suggestions, or experiences? I don't want to loose money on that, already had to pay a lot for my hearing aids and all the deductible for my many appointments , tests, and treatments
