3 years ago——your dizziness will get better, I never had much ringing , mine is more like white noise. I have had no hope of getting it fixed. Crowd situations are the worse , I also can’t tell direction that sound comes from. All in all I get along fine, be careful getting up quickly if you are on your back, dizziness can hit you fast. It’s really aggravating but I live with it . I’m pretty sure the doctors don’t know what causes it so they tell you something like a virus caused it , who knows??

@rlsutton I completely understand. I had 1 hearing aid which is not currently working and is out for repairs. When I can't really hear much or tell from what direction the sounds are coming from, I find it to be most isolating. Even with the one hearing aid I find the situation not very much better.
The new audiologist wants me to purchase a new pair of hearing aids, and that would be a nice opportunity for me IF I had the $6,400 to pay for them! Does anyone know of any Foundation or other MA. State or Federal programs that help elders to pay for hearing aid?
