My husband had his first Lanreotide injection 6 days ago and had his first bowel movement today while we were at a Mass General imaging facility. He feels much better. Unfortunately he is also having severe back pain in the middle of his back which is what led us to an ER and CT scan that found his NET hiding in his abdomen with minor lesions on the liver. They think he has had it for maybe 5 years. A PET scan revealed that there was no spread to his spine. No one can figure out why he is having severe back pain. Has anyone experienced such issues.,,,?

@miracle95
Perhaps this could be one of the contributing factors..
"The Link Between Constipation and Back Pain
The pressure can radiate, leading to discomfort that's felt in the abdomen and elsewhere. The discomfort is often described as a dull, aching pain. In some cases, the pressure from the stool buildup can press on nerves in the lower spine, which can contribute to back pain. "

@miracle95 , I have been on Lanreotide for 3+ yrs ( pNet, Gr.2, Stage4); had surgery in Feb2023. I have severe back pain ( lower back and groin). I am also on Coumadine, so cannot take ibuprofen. Going to PT. It may not be necessarily cancer related ( no bone lesions and mets, yet), but it started after surgery... So I resourced to PT and Tylenol...
