I was diagnosed with Mpal in November 2022 had three rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant in May 2023. I unfortunately relapsed in July 2025 and had two rounds of chemotherapy again and had another stem cell transplant this time it was my blood brother sibling October 2025. I’m back to exercising every day and feel great. Each case is different stay mentally strong and as much as exercise as possible.

Hi @jblack1979. Welcome to Connect. I’m going to tag member @jak0627 so they can pop into the conversation with you! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with MPAL and the stem cell transplant! Sorry you had to go through that twice but hopefully the 2nd time is the charm.
@jak0627 is just starting the journey so your input will be helpful I’m sure. You mentioned your 2nd SCT was your sibling. Did you have an unrelated donor the first time around?

@jblack1979 Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm very nervous about transplant, but know it is best option for me. My brother is over 50 so likely will have unrelated donor.
