The usual pain forneeded hip replacement is in the groin area but I am not a doctor so not sure this is only area where pain would indicate hip replacement.

Many years ago, my orthopedic doctor said, "is it the spine causing hip pain, or is it the hip causing spine pain"? Doctors don't know. I finally had hip replacement surgery after a hip x-ray and my hip pain has gone away........but I still have lower back pain!
