Anyone have to stop Evenity due to side effects?

I’ve had 2 injections and had mobility difficulty after both. Joints are painful, but the pain is bearable. However I feel off balance and like me legs won’t move properly. They feel achy and stiff. I have had some balance issues over the years largely taken care of with PT, but nothing this bad. Anyone have a similar reaction? Anyone stopped the injections?

Yes, I had significant bone pain, along with issues with walking coordination. (I also had a host of other side effects). We had to adjust my second month's dose to a half-dose and my issues continued to worsen, so I had to d/c Evenity, and have since transitioned to Tymlos.

Yes, I had to d/c Evenity after second injection. I have chronic hip bursitis that exacerbated the 8 th day following injection. My pain level was 8/10 for 12 hours until Ibuprofen and ES Tylenol finally kicked in. I spent the next 10 days with a pain level of 6 ( even with taking above pain meds) along with chills, brain fog, fatigue, shortness of breath with minimal activity, heart palpitations and feeling lightheaded. It took about 1 month for me to feel mostly back to normal. I will be starting Tymlos but very concerned that I will have bad side effects too.

@lyall29 Yes, I had to stop Evenity, due to multiple side effects, after 1-1/2 doses (lip, tongue, face burning, significant lower body bone pain & swelling, night sweats, significant fatigue, headaches, sleep disturbance, etc). Evenity "builds" bone, while Reclast will basically maintain what you have by slowing the bone brrakdown/ reabsorption. Be sure you are ready to raise the white flag before quitting the osteoblast (bone builder) and have a talk with your doc about another osteoblast. You could also see if you can reduce your Evenity to 1/2-dose, as I tried. (Unfortunately, the immediate burning still occurred with half, deapite premedicating with Zyrtec. Had to raise my white flag, as it was putting an overseas trip in jeopardy). Good luck!!
