Has anyone had Y90 treatment for NETS?

Next week the Dr will map the artery to my liver and the following week they'll inject microbeads of radiation to directly target the Nets.

@buffalogrammy Hi and welcome to Mayo Connect. What is your diagnosis? Have you had any other treatment prior to the upcoming Y90? Several folks on here have had Y90. You are in a good place to learn from others. Here is a link for a discussion on Y90. Though the original post is from several years ago, the comments are still active today. I had great success with it! Worked for me. A cluster of tumors in liver.

Yes. My husband had it in 2010. At the time his liver had a 50% tumor burden. Y90 killed almost all of them. The rest remained stable for 10 years.

Along with the Y90 I'm getting monthly injections of ocreatide. I had the first y90 treatment on Monday. Taking the methylprednisolone tablets have helped calm my belly pain. I've slept pretty decent past couple nights so I guess so far so good.

@buffalogrammy, good to hear the first Y90 treatment went well. What tips would you offer anyone about to get this treatment? How are you doing today?

I missed the first day of taking the steroid prescribed and had a lot of belly pain which got better when I started taking the steroid. I felt pretty good, was eating what I wanted and had normal bowel movements. It's been two days since steroid pack ran out and the fatigue is noticeable. The doctor will do the other liver lobe next month. Thanks for asking.
