I had similar incident last year, thought bedroom was too cold, 63( we're in Ca)
Tripped in December, face planted on hardwood floor, just abrasion above eye, checked in er
I'm not epileptic, have a disabled daughter with epilepsy ( been on here for her, zonisamide complications, lamictal etc)
and retired RN so know a little but my middle of nite episode scary.. I think I'll let PCP know but doubt she'll do much
All my labs fine, not diabetic, except cobalt, chromium in system from metal implant but regularly checked for levels, symptoms etc
Can't really figure this out..

Hi Maureen!
It's nice to hear from you again, though I'm truly sorry to learn about your recent experience.
You mentioned that you were aware throughout the episode — that detail stood out to me. I'm wondering whether this could possibly be a PNES episode — Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures.
I'm sharing a discussion from our group that you might find helpful:
Have nonepileptic seizures/psychogenic nonepileptic seizures (PNES)?

Please do bring this up with your doctor — it's worth exploring. And do keep in touch!
