PRP 18 months post THR?

Has anyone had success with PRP for chronic tendinitis after replacement? I’ve had steroid injections and needling (to break up calcium along tendon) which helped temporarily. My rheumatologist said PRP will help repair tendon which has a small tear. Since it seems hit or miss I’m on the fence. Plus insurance doesn’t cover. Anyone have this treatment?

i have used it for about 10 years. Yes, its expensive. I am bone on bone with arthritis but it sure beats surgery.

So can you describe how long it relieved the pain and how often you had to repeat?

You used PRP for bone on bone in your knee? How often do you do it? Good to know. I’ve had success with PRP in some foot-related issues

A relative is being offered more cortisone injections, and hyaluronic acid after that if the cortisone doesn’t work. I’m surprised the doc didn’t offer HA first, but. I don’t even know if that works for bone on bone in the knee.
